I was born and raised in Etobicoke, Ontario. I'm a 3rd generation cottager on Beech Lake and have been a permanent resident at Boshkung since 1991 - that’s downtown Boshkung, not on the lake!

I'm a writer, photographer, historian and passionate supporter of the Haliburton Highlands. I've travelled extensively to many parts of the world and those experiences help provide perspective to local decision-making.

Tony Aymong and I have been married since 1992.

Work experience

I've worked in journalism, advertising, marketing, communications and human resources.

I helped my husband run his electrical and commercial diving businesses for 18 years and together we bought, renovated, leased, ran – and sold – two local restaurants between 1991 and 2001.
